All sorts of Calendar problems with one user...  corruption suspected.
I have a user that I suspect has a corrupt calendar, as I'm seeing all sorts of 'never-before-seen' problems with his calendar. The user himself does not see much trouble, however, as soon as one of his delegates tries to print a 'daily' view, they get an error "The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook." However, if they want to print a weekly, or monthly view, it prints fine. This problem has been duplicated on multiple machines, with multiple users, with all sorts of different levels of permissioning to his calendar, ranging from 'Owner' to 'Reviewer' roles. His admin, in particular, is encountering a very peculiar problem, also directly related to his calendar. When she creates an apointment on his behalf, and sends it, she cannot accept on his behalf either from her copy that appears in her calendar, or from his calendar (She has 'publishing editor' rights on his calendar, andon the mailbox root itself.), she cannot. After some time (about an hour) she is able to perform this exact task without any trouble. Beyond this, she is also seeing duplicate appointments appearing in her calendar for items that are in his calendar. There appears to be no evident pattern or rule by which we can trace the duplicates. It appears to be completely at random, with the only commonality being appointments which he is an invitee/chair of. Is there any debug utility that I can run either locally, or from the Exchange server that can repair, or even simply identify corruption in a mailbox/calendar store? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I too have had this problem with a EU's computer at the company where I work. When she tries to print a daily view from her boss' calendar it gives this error. I am interested in the resolution to this problem also Thanks.

1. On the File menu, click Print. 2. Click Page Setup. 3. On the Format tab, click to clear the TaskPad check box. 4. Click OK to close the Page Setup dialog box. 5. With the Daily Style print style selected, click OK to print the shared calendar. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912803/en-us I used this as a resolution. Took a while to find. Thanks.

The only resolution I have found is not really a resolution, more a work-around, but it's quite simple. I've found that this is a known bug with O2K3, for which there is no real resolution. As a work-around, remove permissioning from the calendar by right clicking on calendar>properties>permissions, and removing the user. Then go to Tools>Options>Delegates, and permission the user to the calendar from this window. You'll still have to permission the user to the mailbox root with the first permissioning method listed above, in order for the user to append the mailbox to the folder list. Hope this helps. -Mark D.
